I am a conservation scientist working to leverage philanthropy to address a range of conservation and environmental challenges on land, in water, and in the atmosphere. My work builds on my experiences within the environmental NGO world, academic conservation science, and the public sector, always aiming to protect and restore the biodiversity that fascinates and sustains us all.

As a scientist, I most often the tools of geospatial analysis, ecology, and environmental science to tackle the defining conservation challenge of our time: reconciling agriculture with biodiversity conservation. Much of my past research examined how changes in the distribution of people and agriculture affect biodiversity and carbon storage, with a focus on the environmental implications of agricultural abandonment.

Over the course of my career, I aim to conduct (and activate) science and technology to inform environmental, agricultural, and land use policy and ultimately better conserve wildlife and wild places.
